Walnut

Over time, walnut develops a richer, more nuanced patina as it responds to light and its surroundings.

As a natural material, every piece of walnut is unique. Variations in grain, tone and natural markings are an inherent part of the timber and cannot be controlled. Our skilled makers carefully select each piece to ensure the best possible character and appearance, while features such as knots, sapwood and subtle changes in colour should be celebrated as part of the natural beauty of the wood.

Our walnut is finished with a PU Lacquer to protect the timber while allowing its natural depth and character to remain visible.

Care Instructions

Use a dampened, soft, non-abrasive, lint-free colourless cloth to wipe the entire surface of your wood, moving in the direction of the grain.
Dry the wood using a second non-abrasive cloth. Remember to wipe in the direction of the wood grain.
You do not need to polish the wood as part of your regular maintenance, as we finish our products with a matte, non-yellowing clear polyurethane lacquer for its natural appearance and durability.
Never use wax-based polish or ammonia-based cleaning products on your wood.
Natural timber is affected by sunlight; this can cause the wood colour to darken (if oak) and lighten (if walnut). For this reason (especially if placed in direct sunlight) it is recommended that placing objects in the same position for long periods of time is avoided. This potential colour adjustment becomes less relevant as the product ages.

All our UK orders come with free shipping. If you are ordering from outside the UK, please refer to our delivery page for further information.

If an item is shown as ‘in stock’ on the website, these are located in our London showroom or UK warehouse. If you order accessories or smaller furniture items these will be sent to you by our favoured courier service in a few working days. For all large furniture orders, our friendly staff will be in contact to arrange delivery and confirm access. Furniture not delivered by our white glove service will delivered to kerb-side by pallet.
