Jenkins & Uhnger was established in 2015 by Thomas Jenkins (UK) and Sverre Uhnger (NO). The modular table “Presence” (As Long As You Like) was our first product and since then we have been creating objects and spaces in close collaboration with our clients.
Jenkins & Uhnger strive to deliver a new angle on refinement, function, emotion or technology in their work. Thomas Jenkins (UK) and Sverre Uhnger (NO) have been collaborating since 2015 where they meet through an exhibition of up and coming Norwegian Design called "The State of Things" (Tingens Tilstand in Norwegian).
Their first project, Presence, a solid wood modular table system was exhibited in Milan 2015. This led to an invitation in to the prestigious Wallpaper* Handmade exhibition in 2016 where they developed a technically challenging borosilicate glass series Moment.
Thomas has a background leading design companies, starting his career with Dyson in the UK in 2002. Sverre originally trained as a Master Craftsman in 2008 and then graduated from the Bergen National Academy of Art and Design and Aalto University in 2011.
The studio based in Oslo works both domestically and internationally pursuing a collaborative process of observation, prototyping and dialogue to create products with identity and content.
