Matthew Hilton

Matthew Hilton furniture is built in the belief of creating furniture that people live with. His inspiration often comes from long-established furniture forms. He doesn’t believe in design movements, and he really doesn’t like the concept of design as a fashion.

Product details

The versatile Dulwich Extending Table is a prime example of award-winning British designer Matthew Hilton’s unwavering commitment to functionality. The tabletop expands with a smooth and simple pull, allowing for the addition of two extra leaves. These elements can be stored in the concealed compartment under the table top when not in use. Its slender legs also draw away from the corners to maximise leg room.

Aesthetics, however, are not compromised for the sake of practicality. Sleek, clean-lines are paired with curving edges to create a sleek silhouette that recalls icons of mid-century furniture. This design comes finished with a stylish Polaris top, a hard-wearing material with a smooth, velvet-like touch.

The table features solid wood legs, edge and under-frame in a choice of oak, walnut or black stain and a veneered top and leaves.

Without the extension, the table comfortably seats 6-10 and can be expanded to seat 8-12.

Two-person assembly required.
