Influenced by their extensive art and craft background, siblings Sarah and Henrik Böttger share a strong interest in materials, and develop new products by thinking about daily scenarios, to discover fresh ideas about form and function. In their German based design studio they create products objects and furniture in collaboration with international companies.
Sarah was trained in carpentry before she graduated in 2010 in Product Design from The Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main and the University of Art and Design Helsinki and establishing her own studio. Henrik graduated in design from University of Applied Science, specialising in design and fine arts before becoming creative partner at Studio Böttger in 2015.
Both influenced by the artistic output of their father’s work as a graphic artist and painter, they share a passion and curiosity for the creative process. With an aesthetic vision and excellent attention to detail, Sarah and Henrik’s designs are precise and unobtrusive; the result of diverse, accumulated experience in the fields of craft, design and art.
