Samuel Wilkinson graduated in furniture and related product design at Ravensboure College of Art & Design in 2002.

While at Ravensbourne Wilkinson won several design awards, including the RSA award. He went straight into employment working for leading consultancies such as Tangerine, Fitch:London, and PearsonLloyd.

Product details

The Mantis Desk from British designer Samuel Wilkinson boasts a flexible form that comes with attachable accessories to help keep your workspace neat and tidy. The design lends itself to a home office or is ideal in tandem, back to back, in an office.

The solid wood top has a removable plate that allows easy access to a storage tray for hiding plugs and cables. Other accessories include a small drawer for a laptop or papers, a file holder and a back panel that can act as a note board or privacy screen. Its steel legs are also detachable, making the desk easy to store or transport.

Two-person assembly required.

Care Instructions

Two-person assembly required.
Use a dampened, soft, non-abrasive, lint-free colourless cloth to wipe the entire surface of your wood, moving in the direction of the grain.
Dry the wood using a second non-abrasive cloth. Remember to wipe in the direction of the wood grain.
You do not need to polish the wood as part of your regular maintenance, as we finish our products with a matte, non-yellowing clear polyurethane lacquer for its natural appearance and durability.
Never use wax-based polish or ammonia-based cleaning products on your wood.

All our UK orders come with free shipping. If you are ordering from outside the UK, please refer to our delivery page for further information.

If an item is shown as ‘in stock’ on the website, these are located in our London showroom or UK warehouse. If you order accessories or smaller furniture items these will be sent to you by our favoured courier service in a few working days. For all large furniture orders, our friendly staff will be in contact to arrange delivery and confirm access. Furniture not delivered by our white glove service will delivered to kerb-side by pallet.
