Shelf Life is a look-before-you-buy design bookshop created by Studio Egret West and Movement on the Ground. Located at Studio Egret West’s showroom in Clerkenwell it is open at lunchtimes from November 2016 to May 2017.

Amongst the books Shelf Life creates a shared space for reflection, collaboration and charity donation! We invite you to come and donate a book and to buy one of the inspiring masterpieces already donated by Studio Egret West's friends, with all proceeds going to Movement on the Ground.

During Shelf Life Studio Egret West will be crafting their first studio publication and providing a platform for numerous book-launches and monthly recommendations from their community and anyone who feels excited about getting involved.

As a charitable endeavour the bookshop will support Movement on Ground, a foundation responding to humanitarian crisis affecting the people forced from their homes by climate change, poverty and war.

The books and plants live amongst the wooden frames and metal shelves of the modular Lap Shelving by Marina Bautier. Studio Egret West's design book installation is a welcoming space ready for browsing, reading and if-you-like-what-you-read buying. The Lap shelving becomes the invisible backdrop to a wide collection of design books for this temporary pop-up store.

If you have design books that need a new home, Shelf Life's Lap shelving can accommodate more books, so head along on Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes to help support Movement on the Ground.

Opening Hours Tuesday 12-2pm Thursday 12-2pm Address 3 Brewhouse Yard London, EC1V 4JQ
