Black stained Oak:

Oak is naturally strong and durable, making it well suited to furniture designed for everyday use. Our black stained oak is finished with a durable PU lacquer, providing a resilient surface designed to withstand everyday use.

As a natural material, every piece of oak is unique. Variations in grain, texture and natural markings will remain visible through the stain and are an inherent part of the timber. Our skilled makers carefully select each piece to make sure each piece to ensure our character is kept for the finished furniture.

These natural variations are not imperfections, but part of what makes each piece of black stained oak distinctive.

Care Instructions

Use a dampened, soft, non-abrasive, lint-free colourless cloth to wipe the entire surface of your wood, moving in the direction of the grain.
Dry the wood using a second non-abrasive cloth. Remember to wipe in the direction of the wood grain.
You do not need to polish the wood as part of your regular maintenance, as we finish our products with a matte, non-yellowing clear polyurethane lacquer for its natural appearance and durability.
Never use wax-based polish or ammonia-based cleaning products on your wood.
Natural timber is affected by sunlight; this can cause the wood colour to darken (if oak) and lighten (if walnut). For this reason (especially if placed in direct sunlight) it is recommended that placing objects in the same position for long periods of time is avoided. This potential colour adjustment becomes less relevant as the product ages.

If an item is shown as ‘in stock’ on the website, these are located in our London showroom or UK warehouse. If you order accessories or smaller furniture items these will be sent to you by our favoured courier service in a few working days. For all large furniture orders, our friendly staff will be in contact to arrange delivery and confirm access. Furniture not delivered by our white glove service will delivered to kerb-side by pallet.
