We integrate sustainability into every part of our design and manufacturing, rather than treating it as a separate effort. We focus on creating durable, well-crafted furniture using materials that are responsible for both people and the environment.
We work closely with manufacturing partners who share our values around quality, ethics, and environmental care. Sustainability is seen as an ongoing process, with continuous efforts to improve transparency, sourcing, and production practices across our supply chain.
Through collaboration, audits, and shared learning, we are committed to improve material traceability, adopt more sustainable production methods, and drive innovation in responsible design. Overall, our goal is to go beyond basic compliance by building partnerships that create positive social and environmental impact, while ensuring our products remain a thoughtful, long-lasting choice for customers.
1. Responsible Materials
Wood
Materials are at the heart of sustainable furniture design. At Case, we prioritise solid wood and wood-based materials sourced from responsibly managed forests, where harvesting is carefully controlled to protect biodiversity, support regeneration, and maintain long-term forest health.
We work closely with trusted suppliers to ensure full transparency in the origin and legality of all timber used. This includes compliance with regulations such as the EU Deforestation Regulation, which helps ensure that materials in our supply chain are not linked to deforestation or illegal logging.
Our manufacturing partners hold Forest Stewardship Council certification, and many of our products can be specified using FSC-certified wood. This provides assurance that the timber comes from responsibly managed sources that meet strict environmental and social standards.
Alongside solid timber, we also use alternative materials where appropriate, including engineered wood with recycled content, responsibly sourced veneers, and natural or low-impact finishes that reduce the use of harmful chemicals.
By selecting materials carefully and working with partners who meet high environmental standards, we ensure that our furniture is designed with responsibility, longevity, and sustainability in mind.
Aluminium
Our outdoor furniture is crafted from high-quality aluminium, chosen not only for its strength and versatility, but for its outstanding environmental credentials.
Aluminium is one of the most sustainable materials available. It is 100% recyclable and can be reused again and again without any loss of quality. In fact, recycling aluminium requires only a fraction of the energy needed to produce it from raw materials, significantly reducing its environmental impact.
We use powder-coated aluminium, a durable, low-impact finishing process that contains no solvents and emits virtually no harmful VOCs. This creates a long-lasting, weather-resistant surface that won’t peel, rust, or require frequent repainting—extending the life of each piece and reducing waste over time.
Designed for durability in all conditions, our aluminium furniture resists corrosion, requires minimal maintenance, and is built to be enjoyed for years to come. By combining longevity with recyclability, we aim to reduce the need for replacement and minimise our overall environmental footprint.

Stainless Steel
Our furniture incorporates high-grade stainless steel, selected for its exceptional strength, refined appearance, and long-term sustainability.
Naturally resistant to corrosion and wear, stainless steel performs reliably in both indoor and outdoor settings. It maintains its structural integrity and finish over many years, even with daily use, reducing the need for replacement and helping to conserve resources over time.
From a sustainability perspective, stainless steel is 100% recyclable and is often produced using a substantial proportion of recycled material. At the end of its life, it can be fully recycled again without any loss of quality, supporting a circular approach to material use.
Its inherent durability also means it requires minimal maintenance—no coatings, treatments, or harsh chemicals are needed to preserve its appearance. This keeps ongoing environmental impact low throughout the product’s lifespan.

Fabrics and Leathers
The fabrics and leathers used in our upholstered furniture are selected not only for their comfort and aesthetic quality, but also for their environmental impact and longevity.
We prioritise durable, high-performance textiles that are designed to withstand everyday use, helping to extend the life of each piece and reduce the need for replacement. Where possible, we incorporate fabrics made with recycled fibres and responsibly sourced materials, lowering the demand for virgin resources.
Our selected textiles are chosen with attention to their manufacturing processes, favouring options produced with reduced water, energy, and chemical use, as well as low-emission finishes that contribute to healthier indoor environments.
For leather, we focus on responsibly sourced hides, often as a by-product of the food industry, ensuring that existing resources are used efficiently rather than going to waste. We work with suppliers who follow recognised environmental standards and use more responsible tanning processes, aiming to minimise water consumption and reduce the use of harmful substances.
Across all upholstery materials, durability is key. By choosing fabrics and leathers that age well and maintain their performance over time, we help reduce waste and support a more sustainable approach to furniture design.
Foams
Our foams are selected for durability, comfort, and reduced environmental impact. They retain their shape over time to extend product lifespan and minimise waste, and where possible include recycled or bio-based content.
All foams meet UK fire safety standards (matches, cigarettes, and Crib 5), while also being low-emission to support healthier indoor environments.
2. Environmental Manufacturing
Our manufacturing partners implement production practices designed to minimise environmental impact, including:
Renewable Energy Integration – Many of our factories operate solar panels or other renewable energy to reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
Energy Monitoring – Continuous tracking of energy consumption helps identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.
Waste Recovery and Reuse – Wood offcuts and production waste are recovered, repurposed, or recycled to minimise landfill contributions.
Water Treatment Systems – Facilities employ water treatment processes to prevent pollution and reduce water usage.
A number of our suppliers maintain ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management Systems, reflecting a structured, organisation-wide approach to managing environmental responsibilities and continual improvement.
3. Ethical Production
We partner only with manufacturers who comply with internationally recognised labour and safety standards. These commitments include:
