Oak:

Oak is a naturally durable hardwood, valued for its distinctive grain, strength and timeless character. Its warm, versatile tone works effortlessly across a wide range of interiors, while its inherent durability means it is made to last.

Over time, oak develops a deeper, richer patina, with minor marks often able to be gently sanded and refinished. Our oak is finished with a durable PU lacquer, providing a resilient surface designed to withstand everyday use.

As a natural material, every piece of oak is unique. Variations in grain, tone and natural markings are an inherent part of the timber and cannot be controlled. Our skilled makers carefully select each piece, while features such as medullary rays add depth and character to the finished furniture. These natural details are not imperfections, but part of what makes every piece of solid oak distinctive.

Care Instructions

Use a dampened, soft, non-abrasive, lint-free colourless cloth to wipe the entire surface of your wood, moving in the direction of the grain.
Dry the wood using a second non-abrasive cloth. Remember to wipe in the direction of the wood grain.
You do not need to polish the wood as part of your regular maintenance, as we finish our products with a matte, non-yellowing clear polyurethane lacquer for its natural appearance and durability.
Never use wax-based polish or ammonia-based cleaning products on your wood.
Natural timber is affected by sunlight; this can cause the wood colour to darken (if oak) and lighten (if walnut). For this reason (especially if placed in direct sunlight) it is recommended that placing objects in the same position for long periods of time is avoided. This potential colour adjustment becomes less relevant as the product ages.

All our UK orders come with free shipping. If you are ordering from outside the UK, please refer to our delivery page for further information.

If an item is shown as ‘in stock’ on the website, these are located in our London showroom or UK warehouse. If you order accessories or smaller furniture items these will be sent to you by our favoured courier service in a few working days. For all large furniture orders, our friendly staff will be in contact to arrange delivery and confirm access. Furniture not delivered by our white glove service will delivered to kerb-side by pallet.
