East and South London is a hot-bed of Mid-Century design and it might be caused by some thoroughly modern shows which have been on the scene for some time now. Modern Shows bring together iconic products from the likes of Charles and Ray Eames, Arne Jacobsen, Harry Bertoia, George Nelson, Hans Wegner, Charley Harper and designers close to our heart Robin and Lucienne Day. If that list gets your heart rate up, then you will definitely get your fill from Europe’s best Mid-Century Dealers in furniture, ceramics, glass, wallpaper, vintage fabrics, industrial, clocks, collectable posters and much, much more.

Head East to the recently refurbished Grade II listed Haggerston School, Erno Goldfinger’s only secondary built between 1964 and '65. The Hungarian-born London-based Modernist was one of the first architects to develop the use of concrete aesthetically in the UK inspired by Auguste Perret and Le Corbusier and you will see them in the ceilings especially as you get a rare glimpse inside this working school which has some of Goldfinger's boldest interiors to date. As you probably know Erno Goldfinger was the architect behind Trellick Tower in Golborne Rd and the inspiration behind the Bond character of the same name so it is very fitting that one of our dealers, Saxon from Metro Retro who has supplied Bond films, will be one of the fifty dealers showing.
